Mojito De Guayaba

These Guava Mojitos are so refreshing and easy to make. Made with white rum, lime juice, fresh mint, guava nectar and simple syrup, this guava cocktail recipe sings of tropical flavors! Just a sip will help you escape to a tropical paradise.

Nothing says fresh quite like a mojito. They are the drink I go to when I feel like escaping—they’re super simple to make, and this version with guava brings out a sweetness I absolutely love!

Guava

Like the original Mojito recipe. The big difference between them is that, the original mojito calls for a splash of soda water/club soda and this guava mojito recipe doesn’t. I like to just load it with ice to keep it nice, cold and refreshing that way. That said, you are more than welcome to add a splash on yours if you’d like.

Mojito De Coco

It’s refreshing and crisp, when done well, and it’s the perfect drink to sip by a pool in the summer – and in all other seasons, it’s the perfect drink to make you

The traditional recipe does not call for guava, but overtime there have been many versions with different fruits and flavors that are delicious and fun to drink, like Peach Mojito and Berry Mojito Pitcher!

Juice your limes. I could give you a lot of advices when it comes to cocktail making, but the best one is to always use freshly squeezed citrus! It makes all the difference, and the store-bought kind simply does not compare. Use a citrus press, and boom, fresh lime juice is there to brighten your drinks.

Prepare your Mojito base. Pour your freshly squeezed lime juice, rum and simple syrup into a cocktail glass. Give it a good stir.

We don’t need to aggressively muddle the mint to extract its aromas and flavors. In fact, if you do, all you’ll be getting in return is bitter, grassy flavors, which will not make our Guava Cocktail sing.

To get those sweet minty flavors out, all you need to do is agitate the mint, which you can do a few different ways:

The point is, we don’t want to bruise the mint—the moment it turns dark green from bruising or harsh muddling, those flavors turn bitter and just ruin everything.

Fill up your highballs. Since this recipe makes two Guava Nectar Cocktails, split the minty mixture into two highball glasses, and using the spoon, try to even out the amount of leaves into the glasses.

Similar to how you treated the mint for the drink, you want to agitate it here, as well, because like I said, this is a full experience. You want to smell the fresh minty magic of all this.

Give it a slap or a little rub, and put it in the glasses. Then add straws so you will be able to sip and smell and enjoy.

Best Mojito 2022

If you've followed me for a while, you know that I am a multicultural girl who grew up in multicultural communities. I grew up surrounded by tropical fruits in South Florida, especially guava. You could find guava pastries and juices and drinks at the big grocery stores and at the mom and pop corner stores.

Which is why it's no surprise that a guava mojito needed to come to the blog (and to your summer parties!). It's a sweet, tart, absolutely gorgeous tropical mixed drink that is a fabulous twist on the traditional Cuban cocktail and one of my all time fave fruity cocktails.

) is a traditional Cuban cocktail, originating in Havana, consisting of five main ingredients: lime juice, sugar or sugar cane juice, soda water, white rum, and muddled fresh mint. It's easy to make, sweet, refreshing, and citrusy, which makes it the perfect poolside summer drink.

It also is a great base for other fruity flavors, like strawberry, passionfruit, blackberry, guava and tons of other summertime and tropical fruit.

Guava is a fruit that you'll probably find more as guava paste or guava nectar in the grocery store. It grows it tropical regions and subtropical areas and is a popular fruit in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, where it flourishes.

Easy

The unsweetened guava juice itself can be incredibly tart when it's not fully ripened, but it has a really delicious sweet taste the more ripe it is.

Mojito De Fresa En Mambo

Guava paste is used in pastelito de guayaba (guava pastries) and eating with cream cheese and bread (which is a pretty typical breakfast in south florida!). The nectar or juice is used in many different ways, from jams, to sodas, to guava cocktails like this one!

In a highball glass or other tall glass of your choice muddle fresh mint sprigs, white sugar or simple syrup, and lime juice. You only want to bruise the fresh mint leaves, so a little muddle is just fine to express those essential oils.

Fill the glass with ice, add your favorite light rum, pour in the guava nectar, and top off with plenty of bubbly soda water or club soda.

Passion Fruit Mojitos

Guava Nectar. Most of them from big brands are quite sweet, they have added sugar. So if you want a more tart drink or more control of your sugar content, find unsweetened guava nectar at high end grocery stores and Hispanic markets.

Mint Sprigs. You need mint in mojitos, it's what makes it a mojito! It gives even more of that refreshing feeling, so those mint notes are missed without it.

When we have a pitcher of guava mojitos, we are chillin' and grillin' on our back porch! So churrasco, which is grilled skirt steak marinated in Cuban mojo criollo, is a must have.

Mojito

Watermelon Tequila Mojito

Another delish dinner idea: crispy carnitas street tacos. Especially if you have some pulled pork leftover from a BBQ or cookout. They're bright and full of flavor, especially with fresh salsas.

To make the most excellent pitcher of mojitos, you'll have to use simple syrup. Which is a really simple 1:1 sugar and water mixture, but add the mint leaves into it as it simmers to infuse it with all that good mint flavor without having to muddle a ton of mint leaves.

Then you add that to 2 cups of white rum, a cup of that bubbly water, half a cup of lime juice, a cup of guava nectar, and plenty of ice.

To make this cocktail into a mocktail, omit the rum and add more guava nectar or bubbly water! So simple and so delish!
